Anambra State First Lady Lauds Nigeria’s AFCON Resilience

The wife of Anambra State Governor, Nonye Soludo, has congratulated Nigeria’s Super Eagles for showing resilience in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finale against hosts Cote d’Ivoire.

The governor’s wife, who spoke after Nigeria lost 2-1 against Cote d’Ivoire in a thrilling finale, described Nigeria’s overall outing in the continental tournament as excellent and praise-worthy.

She noted that despite winning the silver medal, the team played with courage, showed determination and made many supporters proud.

Anambra State’s First Lady, who stated that even though the final’s result was not what everyone expected, congratulated Nigeria for reaching the finals and putting smiles on the faces of millions of people at a time like this.

The governor’s wife also urged other football lovers to continue to cheer up the team and understand that defeats are part of every contest.

She wished Nigeria well in future outings and expressed hope that the country would clinch the trophy in subsequent tournaments.
