Anambra State Government Bans Unauthorized Medical Outreaches

The Anambra State Government, through the Ministry of Health, has officially banned all medical outreaches that have not been approved by the Ministry.

This decision, aimed at upholding high healthcare standards and ensuring public safety, was announced in a public notice by the Ministry.

State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, emphasized that this measure is essential to protect public health, maintain high standards of care, and prevent potential health risks.

“Organizations and individuals intending to conduct medical outreaches must now submit an application detailing key information at least 30 days before the planned outreach.

“Failure to comply with this directive may result in penalties, fines, revocation of licenses, or legal action.”

However, the Ministry has assured support for approved medical missions and offered guidance to ensure effective and safe healthcare delivery.
