Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, on Monday, signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill into law at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, Anambra State.
The budget, totaling ₦606,991,849,118, is aimed at driving significant change in the state in the coming year.
The budget structure prioritizes capital development, with ₦467.5 billion (77%) allocated to capital expenditure and ₦139.5 billion (23%) reserved for recurrent expenses. Governor Soludo expressed optimism that the budget would catalyze transformation across the state, focusing on infrastructural development and improved service delivery.
Soludo noted that the signing of the budget reflects his commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth and enhancing the overall quality of life for Anambra State residents.
Anambra Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Anambra Assembly Speaker, Somtochukwu Udeze, Chief of Staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Majority Leader, Mr Ikenna Ofodeme, Minority Leader, lawmakers, commissioners, Clerk, and other dignitaries were present at the event.
