Anambra To Host Beach Soccer League Second Leg

The Anambra Beach Soccer Association said the state is set to host the second leg of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League, scheduled to hold between May 15th – 19th in the industrial town of Nnewi

The Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Charley Ejefonye, stated this in a statement in Awka, the State Capital on Thursday. Ejefonye said the second round of the Beach Soccer League would be held at the Nnewi High School Beach Soccer Pitch.

“We have constructed a state-of-the-art Beach Soccer Arena at Nnewi High School, where the national league will be hosted,” he said.

Ejefonye said the Anambra Beach Soccer Association Board had worked tirelessly to promote beach soccer in the entire South-Eastern region.

The six teams competing include, Kebbi, Kada, Jigawa, Kebbi United, Nmanko Patigi and host team Anambra Beach Soccer Clubs, would compete for honours. The four top teams from the first and second rounds would advance to the next stage in Kaduna.

The first round of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League was held in Kebbi State from April 10th – 13th, 2024.
