Angélique Kidjo features Nigerian artistes on new album
Nigerian music stars, Burna Boy, Mr. Eazi, Yemi Alade are among African talents that will feature on Angélique Kidjo’s next album, ‘Mother Nature.’
The album is scheduled for 18th June 2021, It comprises classic tunes including “Choose Love” ft. Shungudzo, “Dignity” ft. Yemi Alade, “Do Yourself ft. Burna Boy,: “One Africa (Indépendance Cha-Cha)”, “Africa,” “One of a Kind” ft Mr Eazi, Salif Keita among others.
Angélique Kidjo disclosed the inspiration behind the album via her instagram page
“This album is a love letter to Mother Earth and all the values we hold dear: truth, trust, love, connection. If there’s anything the pandemic has taught us, it’s that we are all a part of the same ecosystem—this planet is all we have.”
One single off the album featuring Mr Eazi and Salif Keita “Africa, one of a kind” has been released. It portrays African tune and melody.
Angélique Kpasseloko Hinto Hounsinou Kandjo Manta Zogbin Kidjo, popularly known as Angélique kidjo is a 60year old Beninese American singer, songwriter, actress, and activist who is noted for her diverse musical influences and creative music videos. She is also one of Africa’s multiple Grammy award-winners.
