“As soon as we were sworn in for our 2nd term, we had plans and these plans were rolled out by His Excellency, the governor of Borno State, governor Babagana Zulum. Thankfully, we’ve achieved a lot within our 100 days in office. It’s all about determination and the governor is very determined…and we his subordinates believe in him and everybody is keying into the programmes he has rolled out.”

On what citizens should expect within the next 4years, the deputy governor noted that the relative peace being enjoyed in the state has made it possible to record the visible achievements thus far.

He further explained, that this administration has aspirations to re-develop the state and has laid down a 25-year development plan.

He said: The governor is very keen to adhere to these programmes, he believes that the state will regain its lost glory within the shortest possible time.

On the issue of funding the various development plans and projects which Governor Babagana Zulum has rolled out, the deputy governor noted that it was a frequently asked question by journalists and other colleagues but believes that all these are made possible by proper planning.

Governance is about planning and directing where intervention is most needed. What we are doing is that, we prioritize projects and programmes that have a direct bearing on the citizens and this is very key in governance.

He also attributed the successes of these projects to good management of resources and a formidable team. He advised other people to emulate the leadership style of Governor Zulum and apply proper planning to succeed.
