APC appoints Caretaker Committee members for Zamfara State

The leadership of Nigeria’s governing party, the All Progressives Congress, APC has appointed a three-member committee to run its affairs in Zamfara State

This is according to a press statement signed by the APC National Secretary, Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Senator John Akpanudoedehe. This followed the dissolution of the Party’s structure in the state by the National Caretaker Committee.

The members of the committee are as follows; Senator Hassan Mohammed Gusau as the Chairman, Muntari Ahmed Anka as Deputy Chairman and Professor Abdullahi Shinkafi as Secretary. The APC leaders promised to be fair and transparent in all their actions in the state.

“The CECPC hereby strongly appeals to those directly affected by this action to show understanding and consider this a sacrifice made for the growth of the party.

“The party assures all concerned that it shall ensure that inclusiveness, fairness and transparency are maintained which are the composite ethos of our party) by the new leadership on all fronts,” the statement read.

It would be recalled that recently, the Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to join the governing All Progressives Congress, APC.
