APC Committee Halts Impeachment Process Amidst Ongoing Ondo State Crisis

The National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has called for a democratic compliance on the internal crisis within the ondo state’s House of Assembly, determined to impeach the Deputy Governor of the state.
The impeachment process was suspended following a meeting of stakeholders of the party and members of the Ondo state house of Assembly at the APC National Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday.
National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC DR Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who commended the reconciliation efforts expressed his gratitude for the collective efforts to navigate the crisis.
Upholding Democracy
Dr. Ganduje emphasised the progress achieved by the reconciliation committee and underlined the importance of upholding democratic values within the party.
He praised the honesty of the state APC chairman and commended the Ondo State House of Assembly for prioritizing political solutions to the state’s challenges.
Dr. Ganduje reiterated the APC’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding democratic ethics and preventing crises within the party.
Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, the Chairman of the reconciliation committee, emphasised their dedication to finding a lasting solution to the conflicts affecting APC in Ondo State.
Without hindrances
The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladeji expressed cooperation with the APC’s decisions and stressed the importance of allowing the reconciliation committee to operate without hindrances.
He endorsed the national-level party’s approach as the most viable path to finding political solutions to the ongoing crisis in the state.
The turmoil in Ondo State escalated due to the absence of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who is receiving medical treatment in Germany, exacerbating existing political divisions within the state.
