The All Progressive Congress APC in Ebonyi State has condemned in its entirety the killing of two officers of National Drug Law enforcement Agency NDLEA and setting ablaze of their van along Abakaliki-Enugu express way by unknown gunmen.
The State APC Chairman, Mr Stanley Okoroemegha made this condemnation during his 51st birthday anniversary at his compound in Abakaliki Ebonyi State capital.
He sympathized with NDLEA and the families of the deceased.
However, he warned those behind such dangerous act of killing innocent citizens of the State to desist from such.
Okoroemegha who is also the security consultant of the State alleged that there are political hands in all these killings going on in the State.
“Ebonyi State is known for peace and we all can attest to it. Some few individuals who are into causing mayhem of killing security personnels are doing that just to instigate fear in people and as well to scare off security operatives on the roads”
“I must assure you that as long as Governor David Umahi is still the Chief security of the State, the perpetrators of that dastard act would be brought to book as Ebonyi doesn’t support evil”. Emegha added.
Also during the birthday celebration, the APC Chairman of Enugu State Southeast Nigeria, Mr Ben Nwoye urged Ebonyi people to give support to the Chairman of Ebonyi State, Mr Stanley Okoroemegha in all his efforts of making the party a great one and as well as working hard to ensure that there is peace in the State.
Moreso, the APC Chairman of Benue State North Central Nigeria, Comrade Abbah Yaro, prayed for God’s blessings upon Okoroemegha as he discharges his duties.
