The All Progressives Congress, APC Conference of Speakers has congratulated Nigerian President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban of Borgu Kingdom on the recent verdict passed by the Supreme Court of Nigeria affirming his election as the duly elected President of Nigeria in the February 25th Polls.
Chairman of the APC Conference of Speakers, Engineer. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu in a congratulatory message to the President described the decision of the Justices of the Supreme Court to uphold the outcome of the February 25th Presidential election as the confirmation and affirmation of the choice Nigerians made to make the Jagaban of Borgu their President.
Danladi-Salihu who is also the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly also congratulated the national leadership of the APC led by Dr. Abdullah Ganduje, the legal team, and other stakeholders who worked for the party’s victory before, during and after the polls .
The Speakers therefore called on the 1st and 2nd runner-up to put politics aside, exhibit spirit of sportsmanship and join Mr. President in his 8-point renewed hope agenda that would serve as catalyst to launch Nigeria to an enviable state.
“We applaud the decision of the Supreme Court Justices to validate the mandate Nigerians gave to you in the February 25th Presidential polls, Indeed it is a victory for all, one that would further strengthen our nascent democracy, it is a thing that gladdens our heart that, through this judgment and the likes, the democracy you sacrificed to entrench and nurture in the country keeps waxing stronger and the confidence Nigerians have in the judiciary as the last hope of common man has continued to grow,” the Chairman of the APC Conference of Speakers noted.
“We also send congratulations to the APC hierarchy led by the National Chairman, His Excellency, Dr. Abdullah Ganduje, the legal team, and other stakeholders that worked day and night to ensure that the will of Nigerians is not thwarted. We applaud the courage of the Justices of the Supreme Court in upholding the truth and defending democracy by this landmark judgment and we call on the opposition parties to henceforth join the President in fixing the country”
“Finally, we want to reiterate our commitment to partnering with the President in his 8-point renewed hope agenda that is beginning to take shape to restore the lost glory of the most populous black nation and the giant of Africa.”
He expressed confidence in Mr. President’s ability to turn things around for better in the country.
