APC Convention: I will maintain party supremacy- Chairmanship aspirant

An All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairmanship aspirant, Dr Sani Shinkafi says he will maintain the supremacy of the party at all levels if elected as its next national chairman in the party’s forthcoming National Convention.

He stated this while speaking to journalists at the party’s National Secretariat  when he declared his interest to contest for the position.

It is worthy of note that Dr. Shinkafi is the immediate past National Secretary of the opposition All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and also the immediate past secretary of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT).

He said that he would promote and strengthen internal democracy within the party.

“It is with great pleasure and a sense of humility that I welcome you to this historic declaration. 

“I am here today to formally express my interest to contest for the position of national chairman of our great party, the APC at the National Convention slated for Feb. 26, 2022. 

“With my wide experience, I believe l have what it takes to pilot the affairs of the APC and take it to greater heights. 

“We will maintain the supremacy of the party at all levels and wage war against imposition of unpopular candidates, during the general election.

“We will also put an end to politics of Godfatherism and impunity in the governance of the party at all levels of our leaderships,” he said.

Dr. Shinkafi also stressed the need to maintain a credible membership register adding that those are one of the things he will address if elected.

APC is presently preparing to hold its National Convention on February 26 and many members have expressed their interests to contest for the position of National Chairman.
