The All Progressives Congress (APC), has directed its state and zonal coordinators to intensify grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The directive was issued by Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, during the fourth strategic meeting of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Network held in Abuja.
The meeting followed an earlier session organised by the Progressive Governors’ Forum in February at the Presidential Villa, attended by President Bola Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima.
Governor Uzodimma said the network was established to promote President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda by strengthening engagement at the grassroots and improving communication between the government and citizens, especially in rural communities.
He emphasised the need for coordinators to effectively communicate government policies and reforms to avoid misinformation and build public trust.
“If we do not inform the people properly, this government will be misunderstood,” he said.

The governor noted that the administration had undertaken bold reforms aimed at stabilising the economy and ensuring long-term national development, despite existing challenges.
He also highlighted progress recorded under the current administration, including the National Education Loan Fund programme, which he said has benefited over one million students.
Governor Uzodimma, however, warned that opposition-driven misinformation could undermine public confidence if not properly addressed.
Also speaking, Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, called for stronger amplification of government achievements at the state level, urging tailored communication strategies to reach local communities effectively.
Similarly, Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya, stressed the importance of synergy among party members to ensure consistent messaging and effective outreach nationwide.
The governors expressed optimism that sustained grassroots mobilisation would boost public support for the APC and strengthen its chances in the 2027 elections.
