APC National Chairman Promises To Increase Executive, Legislative Membership

The new National Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress APC, Senator Abdullahi Ganduje has promised to focus on increasing the number of Executives and legislators in the party.
Senator Ganduje made the promise during his acceptance speech after his nomination as the substantive National Chairman of the APC at the party’s National Executive Committee meeting held in Abuja.
Senator Ganduje while reeling out his plans for the party said he would carry out some reforms such as using technology for membership registration, ensuring functional party offices in the zones, states, Local Governments and wards.
“Our main focus will be promoting party unity and defending and increasing the number of executive and legislative seats we currently hold.
“Under my watch, internal democracy will be strictly adhered to with a deliberate policy to engage in wider consultations and making party functional throughout the year.
“More reforms will be carried out in the party in alignment with the current political landscape
“We all agreed that we must unite our members to achieve support for our government to respond adequately, urgently and assertively to the challenges that Nigerians confront on a daily basis,” Ganduje said.

He further appealed to members of the party in Bayelsa and Kogi states to unite and close ranks in order to ensure APC’s victory in the November governorship election in both states.
Another main focus of the NEC meeting was to appoint External Auditors for the party.
The former APC Acting National Chairman, Abubakar Kyari who announced the agenda for the meeting in his opening speech said that Nigerians would soon harvest the fruits of the Fuel subsidy removal.
“Already, the fruits of this policy are beginning to ripen and be harvested by Nigerians. Considerable sums of money in hard currency have been saved in just two months after the termination of the oppressive and wasteful subsidy regime on petrol.
“A comprehensive palliative regime is currently in the process of being rolled out but the President Tinubu administration to cushion the effects of the subsidy removal,” Kyari said.
Senator Kyari who was acting as the APC National Chairman was recently appointed as a Federal Minister.
Present at the APC NEC meeting were the President, Vice President, principal officers of the National Assembly, party leaders of the APC, some governors and state chairmen of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
