The All Progressive Congress, APC has made a passionate appeal to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to extend the permanent voter cards (PVCs) registration dateline to enable people who are yet to register to participate in the upcoming 2023 Elections.
Northwest zonal publicity secretary of the party, Musa Mailafiya Mada, made the call in Kaduna State while reacting to complaints that thousands of voting-age people are still struggling to register at various points.
Mada said the large turnout of people still struggling at the INEC office in Kaduna and various other centres across the Northwest zone was a sign that many people may not register if the commission insists on closing the registration this Sunday, July 31.
He said the zonal secretariat has carried out adequate mobilisation for the registration and appreciated the number of people turning out to be registered to retrieve their Permanent Voter Card, PVC.
Mada said the meeting reviewed performances regarding mobilization of voters to register, also appreciating states of the zone for excellent performance.
