APC Primaries: Nasarawa Governor defeats Ex-wife Of APC National Chairman

Governor Abdullahi Sule, of Nasarawa state has polled a total number of 698 votes to defeat Dr. Fatima Abdullahi at the party’s primary that was conducted in the state.
Dr Fatima Abdullahi is the ex-wife of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Adamu.
Returning officer for the election, Ahmed Ibeto, declared governor Abdullahi Sule as the winner of the APC gubernatorial race.
“Abdullahi polled 698 votes to defeat Dr. Fatima Abdullahi who scored 3 in the contest, therefore Governor Abdullahi Sule is the winner,” Ahmed said.
Speaking after they declared him winner, Governor Sule, said he was optimistic with the peaceful process of the exercise and promised to work closely with Dr. Fatima and the APC beyond 2023.
“Nasarawa state remain united and peaceful as far as the state is concerned, I appreciate my contender for been the first to congratulate me on my victory, my appreciation also goes to all the delegate for choosing to vote for me,” Governor Suke said.
Also speaking shortly after the exercise Dr. Fatima Abdullahi who apart from congratulating the governor for his resounding victory said the people of Nasarawa state has decided to vote the governor back to enable him continue with the good work he has started.
She said, “Congratulations for this resounding victory at the post, The people of Nasarawa state through this objective delegate said you should continue the good work that you have started.”
