APC State Congress: Appeal panel commences sitting in Kano.

A 5-man appeal panel delegated for the state congress of the All-Progressives Congress, APC, in Kano State has arrived the ancient City and commenced sitting at the Party’s Secretariat located in Totoro, along Kano-Maiduguri Highway.

Chairman of the Appeal Committee, Tony Macfoy, at the inaugural sitting of the panel said they were in the state to receive petitions, complaints, review and write a report to the National Headquarters of the party on the APC state Congress conducted on the 16th of October.

He said the committee will work around issues surrounding the election held at the Sani Abacha Indoor sports stadium, Kano that produced Abdulahi Abbas as the new state chairman of the party.

“We are here to receive appeals, petitions and complaints and entertain questions regarding the Congress that was held across the country on the 16 of October, it at the Sani Abacha Stadium according to the party’s constitution and guidelines.”

“So, for all those who partook in the process, if there is anybody who is dissatisfied or has any issue, we are here to entertain such issues,” said Mr.Macfoy.

The chairman explained that the panel would be sitting for three days, beginning from Saturday to Monday 25 October, at the secretariat of the party in Kano, from 10 am to 4 pm.

He said afterwards the committee will retire to compile, examine and write their reports.

He called on the good people of Kano to extend their brotherly love to the committee for success in the course of their assignment in the state.

He did not make reference to the committee deliberating on issues concerning the parallel APC Congress held in the state that was won by Haruna Danzago of the Senator Ibrahim Shekarau led fashion of the party.

Senator Shekarau had earlier said that the faction had submitted the outcome of their Congress to the National Headquarters of the party.
