APC Support Group Mobilise Citizens Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Abuja chapter of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative, a support group affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), has inaugurated its executive committee and advisory council, outlining plans to mobilise political engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking to Voice of Nigeria, the International Coordinator of the initiative, Udo Kerian Akpan, said the group was formed by “sons and daughters of Akwa Ibom State to promote good governance”, noting that it has “a structure that is enduring to ensure continuity of its activities”.

He highlighted Abuja’s strategic significance, describing the city as “the heartbeat of Nigeria” and emphasising the group’s intent to strengthen grassroots participation.

He urged Nigerians to back the President, saying, “Let us give this man a chance. Let us not truncate his tenure.”

The President-General of the initiative, Uwem Okoko, described the inauguration as a step towards structured political engagement, “a vehicle that will drive all APC candidates to office come 2027.”

Representing Governor Umo Eno, Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah said the state has “witnessed continuous project commissioning, with more underway”, affirming support for the trio of Bola Tinubu, Godswill Akpabio and Pastor Umo Eno. while representatives of political officeholders expressed support for continued development in Akwa Ibom State.

The Abuja executive committee is led by Dr Tommy Etim Okon as Chairman and Remigius Edebianga as Secretary while the advisory council is chaired by Dr Emmanuel Umoh.

The group pledged to actively engage with citizens and communities, encouraging informed participation in the electoral process and grassroots mobilisation for the APC.
