The National Working Committee of CityBoy Movement and National Coalition Group (NCG), support groups working in collaboration to ensure that the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential flag bearer, Bola Tinubu, and Kashim Shettima emerge victorious in the 2023 general elections have passed a vote of confidence in the board Chairman, Hon. Francis Shoga’s leadership.
The Chairman of NCG, Dr. Muhammed Bako, made the statement on behalf of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the groups at an appraisal and evaluation meeting on Friday in Abuja. The meeting was to examine the success and shortfalls of the concert organised by the group on October 28 to show support and usher in the electioneering campaigns, which commenced on the same day.
According to the duo of Dr. Bako and the Committee Chairperson, Hon Shayo, it became necessary as Hon Shoga has shown the capacity and commitment to sustain the tempo of activities already lined towards the actualisation of Tinubu/Shettima Presidency 2023.
“We were all at the Unity Fountain last week Thursday. I must tell you we couldn’t have had it better than we did.
” The concert held to support our principal was nothing but a success. For us to do more regarding strategic plans, we must ensure that we have someone who is capable to take charge as the BOT chairperson, and you will all agree with me that Shoga is the man for the job,” said Hon. Shayo.
Despite challenging situations and uncertainty occasioned by the postponement of the PCC kick-off of campaign activities for 2023, CityBoy-NCG still conducted this concert which was adjudged to be a success. CityBoy-NCG has demonstrated its readiness to take center stage in this electioneering campaign.
Recall that APC presidential campaign council (APC-PCC) had earlier postponed its various activities scheduled to kick start the political party’s campaign activities to a much later date to make further consultations. At the same time, the Cityboy Movement, with NCG, held their solidarity concert on 28th as it is not attached to the PCC. Still, a support group is working towards the success of APC presidential flag bearers Bola Tinubu and Mallam Kashim Shettima.
