APC transformation: Gbajabiamila, Wase task new Chairman, elected NWC members

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila and Deputy Speaker Abdullahi Wase have tasked the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and the other members of the National Working Committee, NWC, to put heads together and transform the party ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The Speaker and Deputy Speaker said this when they congratulated the chairman and other elected members of the party’s NWC, such as the Deputy National Chairman (North), Deputy National Chairman (South), the National Secretary, the six vice-chairmen, among others, after the National Convention.

SPEAKER’S REMARK
Speaker Gbajabiamila, in a statement, said, “Senator Adamu’s emergence through consensus arrangement proved that the APC remained one big family where members resolved their differences amicably.”
DEPUTY SPEAKER’S REMARK
While expressing optimism in the ability of the new National Chairman and the NWC members to rally around APC members and other Nigerians to take the party to victory, the Deputy Speaker, in a statement, praised the fatherly role and guidance of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said the President’s role led to the consensus arrangement that produced the new leaders of the party and further consolidated the unity and stability of the party.
“I also want to congratulate the national and zonal officers, the delegates, and the teeming supporters of our great party for demonstrating the spirit of unity of purpose and the indivisibility of our great party.
“Special appreciation must go to our leader and our amiable President for providing leadership and guidance that saw to the successful and rancor-free conduct of the convention,” the statement added.
Wase also commended the Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee, headed by Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, for organizing a successful National Convention and expressed confidence in the new NWC to steer the party to greatness.
