APC Urges Stakeholders To Investigate Violence In Last Election

The Sokoto State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress, (APC) has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and security agencies in the state to set up a committee to investigate those who destroyed ballot boxes and ballot papers during the last presidential election.

State Chairman of the party, Isah Achida, made the call while briefing Journalists at the party Secretariat in Sokoto State.
Achida said INEC should also replace all the officials who compromised and connived with politicians to subvert the electoral process.
We, the state chapter of APC in Sokoto state call on INEC and security operatives to set up a powerful committe to investigate those perpetrate violence at the last election.
 
“It is our considered view that all individuals who committed such offences and their sponsors should be identified individually and arrested, with a view to prosecuting them in accordance with the law of the land,” Achida said.
Reinstating the legal tender
He commended the recent judgement by the supreme Court of Nigeria for reinstating the legal tender status of old N1000, N500 and N200 notes to continue to exist till end of this year.
The ruling represents another victory for Nigeria and the ruling APC.
“The landmark ruling would surely ease the current cash crunch and the resultant economic difficulties face by our people,”he stated.
Achida further urged all APC supporters to come out enmasse to cast their votes to APC Governatorial and state Assembly Candidates in the coming Saturday March 11, elections.
The APC Chairman assured the party supporters that adequate provisions have been made to protect their lives, right and dignity.
