APGA National Chairman Felicitates Muslims On Eid Al-Adha

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Mr Sly Ezeokenwa has conveyed heartfelt greetings and warm felicitations to all Muslims on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha.

In a statement released and signed by Mr Tony Mbeki, the  Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the National Chairman of APGA, Sly Ezeokenwa underscored the significance of celebrating the festival with unity, love, and a spirit of sacrifice.

He highlighted that this occasion serves as an opportunity for believers to contemplate the timeless lessons of compassion, selflessness, and generosity as exemplified by the Prophet.

“Eid el-Kabir holds a distinctive place in the hearts of Muslims globally, reminding us of the virtues of selflessness, compassion, and devotion. During this revered period, APGA acknowledges and celebrates the invaluable contributions of the Muslim faithful to our great nation,” he said.

The APGA National Chairman called upon all Nigerians, especially the Muslim Ummah, to embrace the values exemplified by Eid al-Adha and strive to embody its principles.

He exhorted all Muslims to utilise this occasion to fortify their bonds of unity with their fellow Nigerians, regardless of religious or cultural differences, and to extend a helping hand to those in need, as these principles form the foundation for a prosperous and inclusive society.

Mr Ezeokenwa equally used this opportunity to call on the Nigerian Government to earnestly address the food inflation in the country and the current hardships experienced by Nigerians.

He emphasised the need for decisive actions by policymakers to reposition the Nigerian economy for the better and to promptly resolve the issue of minimum wage.

The APGA National Chairman wished Muslims a peaceful Eid al-Adha celebration.

He prayed that the blessings of Eid al-Adga will resonate throughout the nation, fostering a sense of togetherness and resilience in the face of ongoing trials.
