APGA Primary: Reps Member wins for Anambra Central Senatorial Zone

A Member representing Anaocha, Dunukofia and Njikoka Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Dozie Nwankwo, has been declared winner of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Primary Election for Anambra Central Senatorial District.

The Returning Officer for the exercise, Mrs Elizabeth Nwokocha, announced the result as follows, Former National Chairman of the party, Senator Victor Umeh; 152 votes, Hon. Ferdinard Dozie Nwankwo, 162 votes, while Uzu Okagbue garnered 11 votes.

Speaking with journalists shortly after, Hon Nwankwo thanked the State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, the National Chairman, Chief Victor Oye and the delegates for considering him worthy of being the party’s flag bearer.

He expressed that he never believed he would defeat Senator Victor Umeh in the contest.

He extended the olive branch to his co-contestants and urged them to join hands with him to win the general election.

He commended the peaceful conduct of the primary election and promised to continue with his good works if elected in the general election.
