Apple is planning to enhance its Vision Pro headset by incorporating Apple Intelligence, introducing a guest user mode, and adding a spatial content app.

These updates will be part of a software upgrade, which may soon be available to developers in beta form. Apple is focusing on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into its devices to remain competitive and is also in discussions with Tencent and ByteDance to integrate their AI models into iPhones in China.

The Vision Pro, priced at $3,499, is expected to feature new AI-driven tools such as Writing Tools, Genmojis, and the Image Playground app. This update aims to boost the device’s sales, which have declined due to its high cost and competition from more affordable alternatives like Meta Platforms’ Quest.

In addition to AI enhancements, Apple plans to introduce a spatial content app to enrich the immersive experience of Vision Pro users. The company is also developing an updated guest user mode, allowing multiple users to share the device seamlessly. These features are anticipated to be part of a software upgrade, with a beta version potentially available to developers soon.

This initiative reflects Apple’s broader strategy to integrate advanced AI capabilities across its product lineup, aiming to enhance user experiences and maintain a competitive edge in the technology market. The company is also reportedly in discussions with Tencent and ByteDance to incorporate their AI models into iPhones sold in China, further reinforcing its commitment to AI integration.

By investing in AI-driven features and expanding the functionality of the Vision Pro, Apple seeks to revitalise interest in the device and address previous sales challenges attributed to its premium pricing and competition from more affordable alternatives.
