Apple unveiled its latest MacBook Pro models on Wednesday, equipped with enhanced processors designed for tasks such as photo and video editing to appeal to creative professionals.

The new MacBook Pro lineup starts at $1,599 for the 14-inch model, with higher-end versions featuring the more powerful M4 Pro and M4 Max processors. The 16-inch variant, starting with the M4 chip, will have a base price of $2,499.

As demand rises for personal computers capable of running AI tools, customers are increasingly looking to upgrade to more powerful systems. Apple Intelligence is accessible globally when the device language is set to U.S. English, with a free software update available from Wednesday for Macs with M1 chips or later. The initial tools, offered in beta with macOS Sequoia 15.1, will expand with further features in the coming months.

Customers can pre-order the new MacBook Pro starting Wednesday, with deliveries and in-store availability beginning on Nov. 8.

Earlier this year, Apple introduced two new MacBook Air models powered by M3 processors, starting at $1,099 for the 13-inch variant.

The PC market is expected to see a resurgence in 2024, driven by the rise of AI-enabled computers, following a two-year slump post-pandemic. These new launches come just days after Apple, headquartered in Cupertino, California, revealed a new range of colourful iMac desktops featuring the M4 chip and Apple Intelligence capabilities.
