The Arab bank for economic development in Africa has entered into partnership with the Borno State government on economic development of the State.
The managing Director of the Arab bank, Dr Sidi Tah made this disclosure during a courtesy visit to the Borno State governor Professor Babagana Zulum, at the Government house in Maiduguri.
Dr Sidi Tah, said after the visit of his Excellency, Prof Babagana Zulum to the Bank’s headquarters in Sudan, the Bank sent a technical team to the state for feasibility study.
He said, “the report of the technical team was what prompted their courtesy visit to Borno State to indicate their readiness for the partnership, we are really delighted to be with you today in Borno State as a testimony of the commitment of the Arab Bank for economic development in Africa to the partnership with Borno State.
The MD further said, “the technical team are also preparing the pilot scheme for the State, the Bank has sent to Borno State a technical team to prepare a pilot scheme and that project has been approved by the bank. with the commitment of the Borno State government, the Bank will scale up it’s intervention to address the need of the people of the state.”
Conducive environment
In his response, the executive Governor of Borno State Prof Babagana Zulum while appreciating the managing Director of the Arab Bank for economic development in Africa and his Team for choosing Borno State for project assured them of conducive environment for their operation.
