Arewa Consultative Forum Reaffirms Commitment to Northern Interests

The Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, a socio-cultural group has reiterated its commitment to protect promote, and project the interests and values of Northern Nigeria.

The Chairman of the ACF Board of Trustees, Alhaji Dalhatu Wazirin Dutse made this declaration during a courtesy visit to Governor Nasir Idris at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.

The ACF, established in 2000, is marking its silver jubilee with a celebration scheduled to take place from October 20 to 22 in Kaduna.

Alhaji Dalhatu noted that “the forum has made tremendous progress in fulfilling its mandate and has recorded notable successes in safeguarding the well-being of Northern Nigeria.”

The ACF Chairman emphasised that the forum was created to champion northern interests in the economic and social sectors, as well as in politics, while remaining non-partisan.

He commended Governor Idris for his leadership style, progressive initiatives, and people-oriented policies aimed at developing Kebbi State.

ACF National Executive Chairman, Chief Mamman Mike Othman, SAN, advised the Governor to remain vigilant against the activities of criminals and bandits.

In response, Governor Nasir Idris pledged Kebbi State’s full support for the ACF and its activities.

He assured the ACF that the state would collaborate with the forum to advance the development of the region, noting the significance of a strong alliance among northern governors.
