Seasoned journalist in Anambra, Mr. Emeka Monye has been honored with the prestigious Media Person of the Year Award at the Anambra Man of the Year (AMTY) Awards ceremony.
Monye, a renowned media strategist with over 20 years of experience and ARISE TV Correspondent, was recognised for his outstanding contributions to news reporting, investigative journalism, media management, and public relations.
Expressing his gratitude, Monye dedicated the award to his colleagues and affirmed his commitment to the continued growth of media excellence in the state.
“I am humbled by this award and at the same time inspired to continue to impact humanity.
“I will not take this award for granted because it means deeply to me,” he said after receiving the award.
Monye also charged other well-meaning individuals who are comfortable to do the same, saying that it is one of the ways to impact and impart society.
“I also want to call on others, particularly media practitioners to reach out to those in need by following similar projects, this way we will be lifting others who are downtrodden.” He further stated.
“This award is a steeping stone towards other charity works I have outlined to be instituted, particularly in education, giving back to the sector that has given me the ticket to be where I am, is pivotal to my aspirations – leaving a legacy for humanity.
And also continue to report news that will advance the course of mankind.”
Throughout his career, Monye has made meaningful contributions to various media organizations, including ARISE TV, Silverbird Television, Kaftan Television, and Super FM.
As the Anambra state Correspondent at ARISE TV, he plays a crucial role in news coordination, conducting high-profile interviews, and managing newsroom activities.
The Media Person of the Year Award recognizes Monye’s longstanding dedication to the media industry, his passion for storytelling, his commitment to media innovation, and his exceptional reportage about Anambra State.
