He gave the charge at the graduation ceremony of special forces troops of EXERCISE RESTORE HOPE (7), held at the Nigerian Army training center in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Represented by the Chief of Training at the Army headquarters, Major General Sani Gambo Mohammed, the Army Chief explained that the training they have acquired has given them the necessary skills and competencies to perform optimally in the field.

He pointed out that, in line with his command philosophy, personnel training would be sustained to achieve better results.

Lt General Lagbaja reminded the troops that the country expects a lot from them, hence, they cannot afford to disappoint Nigerians.

He expressed optimism that as they move into the various theatres of operation across the country, they would make a lot of impact.

The Army Chief noted that with the support of the government and the people of Nigeria, the Nigerian Army would continue to win the war against all forms of security threats.

He therefore warned all criminal elements to lay down their arms, as the troops’ morale was very high and ready to chase them to their enclaves.

He commended the troops for their dedication to duty and assured them of a better welfare package.

A total of 585 troops comprising 14 officers and 571 soldiers graduated after undergoing a four-month training.
