Army Commander Inaugurates Senior Staff Course Qualifying Examination Panel

The Commander Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army, TRADOC NA, Major General Kevin Aligbe has Inaugurated the examination panel for 2024 Senior Staff Course Qualifying Examination, SSCQE.

Major General Aligbe tasked members to perform above board.

A statement by the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba said the inauguration ceremony was at the Post Graduate School of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, Kaduna State.

Major General Aligbe who doubles as the Examination President urged the 60 panelists to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their responsibilities.

He stated that “their nomination to participate in the exercise was
based on thier high level of integrity, honesty and professional competence.”

The Commander TRADOC Nigerian Army urged them to adhere to the principles of fairness, thoroughness and uprightness in the conduct of the examination.

Major General Aligbe stressed that as responsible and diligent senior officers of the NA, they must shun all acts that could undermine the sanctity of the examination.

He therefore congratulated them for the unique opportunity to serve and enjoined them to put in their best.

The Examination President also emphasized on the criticality of the examination as one of the core determinants of the candidates career progression, which must be handled by panelists based on objectivity and transparency as contained in the NA Examination Charter.

The Commander TRADOC reminded the panelists that they have come to assess the officers who are to work with them in meeting the objectives of national defence and security imperatives.

The examination he said should help the the NA to produce problem-solving officers in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Philosophy which is “To transform the Nigerian Army into a well-trained, well equipped and highly motivated force towards achieving our constitutional responsibilities within a joint environment.”

Earlier in his welcome address, the Commander Infantry Corps, Major General Olufemi Oluyede represented by the Chief of Staff, Headquarters Infantry Corps Centre, Brigadier General Hassan Bello, congratulated the panelists for their well deserved nomination.

General Oluyede also stated that it has always been an honour for the Infantry Corps to be considered worthy of hosting the all important examination, year-in year-out, describing the examination as a catalyst for career progression of the candidates.

He stressed that it would equip the candidates with requisite knowledge that will help them in playing active roles in support of the NA in meeting the objectives of the nation’s defence and Security.

General Oluyede also assured the Examination President and his team of the Infantry Corps Headquarters’ readiness to ensure a smooth and hitch-free examination.
