Army Holds Service of Songs for Late COAS, Lagbaja

Following the arrival of the body of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja to Abuja, the Nigerian Army is set to hold a service of songs ahead of the burial scheduled for Friday.

The Nigerian Airforce plane NAF 918 carrying the body of the late COAS landed at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, at about 12:15 pm with the remains of the late COAS after departing the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos around 11 am.

Top military officials were at hand to receive the remains of the late Chief amidst the military band.
On arrival, a guard of honor was accorded the body before the top military brass dressed in ceremonial uniform walked it down to be conveyed.

After the service of songs to be held at Army Headquarters Garrison, the late COAS will be interred on Friday at the national military cemetery.
