Army Resources Centre Commends EFCC for Fight Against Corruption

The Director General, Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Major General Garba Wahab, (Rtd) has applauded the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for playing important roles in the fight against corruption in the country.

The Director made this known during the inauguration ceremony of the Executive Leadership and Strategic Management Course 1/2024 in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

According to him, the Centre tries as much as possible to bring people from different organisations and agencies together to train them on how to make their work easier and knowing what to do at any point in time in their duty post.

“If you procure results for your child, it is a corruption”, he said.

“Executive Leadership and Strategic Management Course is organised by the Nigerian Army Resource Centre in collaboration with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC], the course is designed for senior and middle cadre officers respectively and the course is aimed at enhancing the leadership capabilities and strategic thinking skills of the participants to enable them effectively navigate the complex challenges faced by various organizations, and it is expected that at the end of the program”, he added.

According to him, participants will have a better understanding of contemporary issues in strategic management for effective leadership, the asymmetrical variables in the dynamic world and ensuring sustainable impacts and goal directed decision making, enhancing strategic leadership, critical thinking and effective communication skills.

He charged the participants to apply what they learn into practice.

The Director, Admin and Human Resources, EFCC, CP Femi Bohufu said that “the commission found the Centre worthy of providing leadership skills that would enable their officers to perform their duties effectively”.

He charged the officers to make good use of the opportunity of the training to justify the resources invested and give back to the system what they have learnt.
