The Nigerian Army Intelligence School (NAIS), has organized a training visit to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Lagos, in a continuation of training activities lined up for the students.
The visit was aimed to provide the students with hands-on experience in forensic science and crime scene investigation, utilizing advanced tools like the Automated Fingerprint Identification System.
Led by the Commandant of Nigerian Army Intelligence School, Brigadier General Kingsley Nwoko, the students from various intelligence courses were warmly received by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dr. Benedict Agbo and Assistant Inspector General Romokere Godgift Ibani.
During the visit, the students explored different sections of the FCID facility, including the Fingerprint Section, DNA laboratory, and Forensic Ballistic section.
The collaboration between the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Police Force highlighted the importance of intelligence in criminal investigations and the practical application of forensic tools.
Brigadier General Nwoko expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized the visit’s role in strengthening the relationship between the two security agencies while AIG Ibani commended the efforts of the NAIS in fostering partnerships through innovative activities like the training visit.
