The Sudanese army has taken control of the main headquarters of the country’s central bank, two military sources told newsman on Saturday, marking another significant advance in its battle against the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the capital.

The seizure comes just a day after the army claimed full control of the presidential palace, a key strategic gain in the two-year conflict with the RSF, which has pushed Sudan toward the brink of partition.
