Arsenal Returns To Winning Ways After Thrashing Crystal Palace
Arsenal returned to winning ways after thrashing Crystal Palace 5-0, moving within two points of Premier League leaders Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners scored two goals from corners in the first half as defender Gabriel Magalhaes headed home the first, before the Brazilian forced an own goal off Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
After the break, Arsenal then scored from a counter attack when Gabriel Jesus on found Leandro Trossard, who beat his man and finished brilliantly.
Substitute Gabriel Martinelli then scored two similar goals in stoppage time to put the icing on the cake for Arsenal.
The match finished 5-0 as Arsenal rediscovered its goalscoring form at the business end of the Premier League.
The victory moves Mikel Arteta’s side above Aston Villa into third – with the pressure on Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to extend their lead at the top as they travel to Bournemouth on Sunday.

Arsenal next face Nottingham Forest away from home in the Premier League on Tuesday January 30th, they host title rivals Liverpool in a huge game on February 4th.
