Aruna’s TTC battles Dusseldorf in Bundesliga play-offs

Quadri Aruna will be aiming for another record with TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell in the play-off of Table Tennis Bundesliga against defending champion Borussia Dusseldorf.

Aruna who is playing his second season in the German Bundesliga with TTC led the team to their first play-offs in the last four years.

This season, Dusseldorf lost two games from the 22 games played this season and they will be up against Aruna’s TTC who finished fourth with nine losses and 13 wins to make the play-off which serves off this weekend to decide the two teams that will fight for the German championship on June 11. The first leg of the best-of-3 series will take place on Sunday.

According to the organisers of TTBL, Dusseldorf and TTC had met seven times in finals across all competitions, including three times in the Liebherr TTBL final (2014, 2015, 2017) as the Düsseldorf team held the title in their hands on those occasions.
