Wife of Anambra State governor, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has called on Nigerians to love and pray for their leaders as she re-affirms her position on love as the most valid form of communication for humanity’s collective prosperity.

Mrs. Soludo who made this known in a message released in Awka, the state capital, to mark this year’s Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day, explained that humanity should embrace the principal ideals of love in order to achieve peace and development.

The governor’s wife, while noting that the feast of Ash Wednesday calls everyone to compassionate action, explained that by understanding that life devoid of love is empty, man must look up to Jesus Christ as the most perfect example of what a life of impact should look like.

Mrs. Soludo, who described the coincidence of this year’s Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day as special, pointed out that it is a firm call on mankind to understand that love outweighs every other injunction from God.

She further stated that both events call for sober reflection, and admonished those who may want to use the occasions for the wrong intentions to understand the primary essence of both feasts.

Nonye called for spiritual reconciliation with God and humanity and urged everyone to use the Lenten season to pray for a better Nigeria.

Mrs. Soludo also appealed to the people of Anambra to continue to pray for the state’s progress, unity, and peace, and also for the current administration, insisting that a better Anambra State is everyone’s responsibility.

Extending the best Valentine’s Day wishes to all Nigerian youths and families, Mrs. Soludo urged them to think more about what love can achieve than what hate can destroy.
