He explained that the primary objective of the event was to provide a platform for members to unwind, socialise, and escape daily

“In today’s fast-paced and stressful world, people are committing suicide, losing jobs, becoming overwhelmed, and slipping into depression.

“As an alumni association, we decided to create a platform for our members to rest, unwind, and socialise,”he said.

He urged Nigerians to prioritise their mental health and well-being, especially during difficult times.

“Whatever you are going through is temporary. You will come out stronger if you believe in God and place everything in His hands,” Kanu added.

According to the chairman, it is  important to belong to a supportive community that genuinely cares for its members’ welfare.

Kanu further highlighted the broader benefits of sports investment, noting that it could drive revenue generation, job creation, and economic development.
