Babcock University is celebrating the outstanding achievements of its 2024 Law graduate, Daniella Okamgba, who made history at the 2025 Nigerian Law School Call to Bar ceremony.
Okamgba not only graduated with a First-Class Honours degree but also secured an impressive five awards, recognizing her exceptional academic performance.
The historic ceremony, which saw a record-breaking 5,728 new lawyers called to the bar – the largest number in Nigeria’s legal history – was jointly organized by the Nigerian Body of Benchers and the Law School.
Okamgba’s awards include:
Justice Olujide Shomolu Award for Best Student in Civil Litigation, Mr. D. D. Dodo OFR SAN Award for Best Female Student in Civil Litigation, Hon. Justice Aloma Mariam Mukhtar GCON Award for Best Female Student in Civil Litigation and Chief T.O.S Benson OFR SAN Award for Best Student of the Year (3rd Prize)

Babcock University’s President/Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ademola Tayo, expressed immense pride in Okamgba’s accomplishment:
