Bauchi Government Disburses N261 Million for Immunisation
The Bauchi State Government has announced the disbursement of N261 million to relevant agencies to expedite the successful implementation of its immunisation programme.
The Deputy Governor of the state, Auwal Jatau, disclosed this during an advocacy visit by the African Health Budget Network (AHBN) and the African Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET) on Thursday in Bauchi.
He revealed that the state government had released N261 million out of the N872 million allocated for immunisation services, and assured that the remaining funds would be disbursed to further support its immunisation agenda.

The visit, led by AHBN’s Focal Person, Dr Hassan Shuaibu Musa, and AFENET Lead, Dr Habila Ismaila, was aimed at maintaining advocacy for the timely release of funds for immunisation-related activities.
Dr Musa praised the state government for allocating N872 million to the 2025 immunisation programme and for its support in implementing the Zero Dose Learning Hub.
He also commended the government’s ongoing efforts to improve immunisation coverage, particularly in zero-dose and underserved communities.
“The advocacy reflects a strong commitment from health stakeholders to strengthen immunisation system and ensure no child is left behind in the state,” he said.
The visiting delegation also included members of the Zero Dose Learning Hub (ZDLH).
