Bauchi State Community Seeks Upgrade Of Sumu Wide Life Park
The District Head of Kafin Madaki in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Alhaji Baba Gidado has advocated upgrade of the Sumu Wild Life Park, to boost tourism in the State.
Gidado said this during a courtesy visit by members of the Bauchi State Correspondents’ Chapel, led by its Chairman, Ahmed Mohammed, on Wednesday in Kafin Madaki.
He said that construction of access road and infrastructure development at the park would promote tourism, encourage commercial activities and boost state revenue base.
According to Gidado, the Sumu park holds immense potential as a tourist attraction that has the potential to attract local and international visitors.
He stressed the need for proactive measures to upgrade the park to fully harness its potentials and provide livelihoods to the host communities.
He added that members of the chapel had visited the Sumu Wildlife Park to assess its potential and explore ways to advocate for government intervention to transform the park into a thriving tourism hub.
