Vice President Kashim Shettima on Saturday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Sheikh Idris Abdullaziz, who passed on recently.
Speaking at the family house of the late Islamic Cleric at Dutsen Tanshi in Bauchi metropolis, the Vice President urged the family to accept what God has done, because the earthly sojourn of their late bread winner was over.
He urged the followers of the cleric and all Nigerians to emulate the good works of the late Sheikh Abdulaziz.
VP Shettima urged the Bauchi State government and well to do citizens of the State to support the family of the deceased, in appreciation of the legacies he left behind.
Also speaking, Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, who accompanied the Vice President on the visit, was full of appreciation to VP Shettima for finding time out of his tight schedule to personally condole with the family of the late religious leader and the government and people of Bauchi State.
Responding on behalf of the family of the late Sheikh Abdulaziz, one of the close associates of the deceased, Malam Sagir Adamu, noted that President Bola Tinubu had earlier sent a delegation led by the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu to sympathize with the family.
He also appreciated Vice President Shettima for visiting the family of the late Sheikh, to identify with them at their most trying moment.
Adamu sued for unity in the country, as he urged those in leadership positions to be fair and just at all times.
The Late Sheikh Abdulaziz left behind three wives and 31 children, as well as many orphans that he adopted while alive.
Turbaning
VP Shettima had earlier while in Bauchi, attended the turbaning ceremony of a former Governor of the State, Mohammed Abubakar, who bagged the traditional title of the first ‘Makama Babba’ of Bauchi.
The Vice President also served as the father of the bride, at the wedding solemnization of the daughter of the former Governor, Khadijatu Mohammed Abubakar, as she got married to Mohammed Sadiq.
Similarly, VP Shettima attended the wedding solemnization of the daughter of business mogul, A.YM Shafa, before departing the State.
