Bauchi Youths urge APC to support Tinubu-Dogara presidential ticket
Youths from Bauchi state have called on the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) to field former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, as a running mate to presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking in Abuja, Aliyu Salami, National Coordinator of the Tinubu/Dogara Movement, said the leadership qualities of Tinubu and Dogara would give the APC sweeping victory at the 2023 Presidential Elections.
Tinubu clinched the APC Presidential ticket a week ago at the party’s Special Presidential Primaries held at the Eagles Square, Abuja.
Salami’s position comes as the deadline for the formal presentation of Presidential/Vice-Presidential candidates by Political parties to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) draws closer.
“Both gentlemen have shown true leadership, dedication and ability. The combination of Tinubu and Dogara will bring political advancement as well as economic development,” Salami said.
“The joint ticket will also bring balance, equity and justice to all sections of Nigeria. Tinubu’s administrative and human capacity can be seen with the massive development strides in Lagos. As a Speaker, Dogara brought leadership and unprecedented sagacity too legislation. I plead with leaders of the APC to consider these qualities for the presidency,” he added.

Amina Hassan, a Bauchi female youth leader, said Dogara would complement Tinubu as a running mate.
“I think Dogara is the most eligible to be the vice President, he is a good man, does good work and we want Allah to choose him for us because he is a good person,” Amina said.
“He is a detribalized leader and he enjoys peaceful co-existence. As a result, I want Yakubu Dogara to become the Vice President. We want our country to remain peaceful, he is empathic, he loves the less privileged and we believe he is a good man that will provide us some succor because it is our time.”
The APC is set to announce a running mate for the former Lagos Governor this week.
