The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Bayelsa State says it is all out to ensure that Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly election is carried out transparently and without any hitch.
The State’s Resident Electoral Commission, Mr. Emmanuel Alex Hart, said, in order to ensure a hitch-free electoral process, the Commission began sorting and distribution of sensitive materials earlier on Thursday.
He says, “We are ever ready. We started the whole operation yesterday. The unboxing of the result sheet is very important. That’s even where we are going now to make sure that everything goes smoothly.”
Mr. Hart said the Commission had been working with major stakeholders, including political observers in the state, to achieve its transparency objective.
“And as we speak, the political observers they are there watching all they are doing. Because we are bent on delivering everything transparently.
“For those going far, there’s is ready. Like Southern ijaw, Ekeremor, Brass, there’s is ready. Yenegoa definitely is going to be the last because they are landlords,” he added.
