David Beckham inducted into Premier League Hall of Fame

David Beckham is the latest United legend to be inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame after Eric Cantona and Roy Keane were both included.

Beckham edged out Paul Scholes, Rio Ferdinand, and Peter Schmeichel and to be United’s third representative, admitted today alongside Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard.

Beckham and Gerrard joined already voted in EPL legends Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, and Frank Lampard in receiving the League’s highest individual honour.

The Hall of Fame recognizes and celebrates the exceptional skill and talent of individuals who have graced the Premier League since its inception in 1992. It is the highest individual honour awarded to players by the League.

Eligibility for Hall of Fame

To be eligible for the Premier League Hall of Fame this year, players had to have been retired as of 1 August 2020, and only a player’s Premier League career was considered in his candidacy.

Each inductee will receive a personalized medallion, engraved with the year of their induction.
