Beijing city reports 39 new COVID-19 cases

Beijing has reported 39 new domestically transmitted COVID-19 infections during the 24 hours on Sunday, according to a disease control official at the Chinese capital.

The deputy director at Beijing Municipal Health Commission, Pang Xinghuo stated that, the city has had a total of 727 COVID-19 infections since April 22.

However, th country has closed up entrances to more than 40 subway stations and 158 bus routes, to curb the wide spread of Omicron variant of COVID-19.
