The Being Human Foundation for the Less Privileged has reaffirmed its commitment to improving the lives of underprivileged Nigerians and promoting sustainable development through renewable energy initiatives.
This commitment was demonstrated as the foundation, in collaboration with the Dam Foundation, distributed solar home systems to beneficiaries in Abuja, the nation’s capital, aimed at enhancing energy access for vulnerable communities.
The distribution marks another milestone in the foundation’s ongoing efforts to support less fortunate Nigerians, providing practical solutions to improve daily life while promoting sustainable development.
In her remarks, Founder Ambassador Khadija Ibrahim said; “the initiative is a step toward lighting up underprivileged homes, highlighting the importance of electricity in Nigerian households.’
“Many NGOs offer similar humanitarian services, but the Being Human Foundation decided to offer something different, providing solar home systems because of their daily importance,” she said.

She said: “My dream as a Nigerian is to see my country progress by helping vulnerable Nigerians. We will continue to do our best to touch lives through community development and humanitarian service.
“I also want to use this opportunity to appreciate the Dam Foundation and the Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, for their immense contributions to the solar home system initiative.”
The Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Delu Bulus Yakubu, applauded the efforts of the Being Human Foundation and the Dam Foundation and urged other Nigerians to emulate their footprint.
Yakubu, who was represented by her Head of Administration, Bashir Butoma, said the solar power systems would greatly assist beneficiaries and called on them to handle the equipment responsibly.
Some beneficiaries, speaking to Voice of Nigeria, expressed their gratitude to both foundations for providing power solutions that will transform their daily lives.
Founded by Hajia Khadijat Ibrahim, the Being Human Foundation for the Less Privileged focuses on empowering underprivileged Nigerians through humanitarian support and renewable energy initiatives.
