Biden, Sunak agree on supporting Ukraine
United States President, Joe Biden, and new British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, have reaffirmed the “special relationship” between both countries and also agreed on the importance of supporting Ukraine.
According to a White House statement, Biden and Sunak also agreed on the importance of working together to address the challenges posed by China and to secure sustainable and affordable energy resources.
They also discussed commitment to the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement, it said.

In the same vein, the White House said Biden also spoke by phone to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Tuesday and discussed their commitment to continue providing assistance to Ukraine.
The Meloni government is Italy’s most right-wing administration since World War Two and former close ties between Moscow and two of her coalition partners have raised concerns with NATO allies.
