Bloom Public Health opens office in Cameroon

Bloom, a renowned Nigerian Public Health Agency has extended its African footprint to Cameroon by  opening a new office in Yaoundé.

Bloom is a technical partner of the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), and other health institutions in Africa.

The new office is to accommodate its ease of operations and further meets its obligations to the Ministry of Public Health, Cameroon.

The Yaoundé’s office is as a result of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between Bloom Public Health and Lanacome’s for the development of Cameroon ’s public health system.

The new office which will include experts from the Cameroon region is the company’s second African office.

It aims to support the Ministry of Public Health in capacity building, strengthening of regulatory activities, development of a post-marketing surveillance system, and other functions.

The Chief Executive Officer Bloom Public Health, Professor Chimezie Anyakora, said that “the new office will allow Bloom Public Health to operate seamlessly in the Central African region.”

The opening of Bloom Public Health’s new Yaoundé office is an important step in realising our goal of achieving better healthcare in Africa. The new office shows our commitment to ensure a sustainable plan to solve African public health issues rather than just an intervention,” Professor Anyakora said.

According to him, the office is meant to begin operations immediately and will primarily handle activities in the Central African region

The Director-General Lanacome, Dr. Ngono Mballa expressed her joy at the commitment of Bloom Public Health to supporting the Cameroon’s Public Health system.

She pledged her support for Bloom activities in ensuring that the Cameroon Pharmaceutical  Industry experiences positive development.
