The Chairman of Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, Muhammad Dan’azimi, has advocated for the end of out-of-school children for a more rewarding generation.
In a statement by the public relation officer, Mr. Lawal Gana said is in commemoration of the May 27 International Children’s Day Celebration.
Dan’azimi described children as a special gift from God, hence the need for parents, stakeholders, and the Authorities to ensure that the Nigerian child is given all the necessities through love, education, and moral training.
He identified with Children on this year’s 2023 Celebrations and lamented the growing rate of out-of-school children, child labour, Street hawking, begging, and violence against children, and emphasised the need for collective responsibilities to tackle the menace in the country.
He also condemned violence against children, calling for all hands to be on deck to address the problem.
“If parents, stakeholders among other groups join hands with the Government in tackling child abuse, child labour, and violence against children in the country, it would go a long way in promoting peace and societal Development.
Dan’azimi, urged parents, to see education as a lasting legacy they can bequeath to their children and give it an optimal priority.
“I felicitate with Children on their special day, and pray to God to continue to protect the children with sound health and a brighter future for a more rewarding generation”, NSUBEB Chairman stated.
