The Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board in conjunction with the Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, has commenced the continuous quality assurance evaluation monitoring of the first term 2023 school resumption.
This was made known in a statement signed by the Deputy Director, of Quality Assurance, Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, Yakubu Addra on behalf of the Director, of Quality Assurance of the Board Hajia Khadijat Gambo-Sulaiman and issued to journalists in Lafia, the state capital.
It said the process is to enhance the teacher’s capacity in the school.
Hajia Gambo-Sulaiman said that “the continuous first term 2023/2024 school resumption monitoring exercise has started on September 11, 2023, and will end on 15th December 2023.”
She said that “conducting continuous quality assurance monitoring exercise in public schools is a strategy developed by the Universal Basic Education Commission to enhance the capacity of teachers for improved learning at the basic education level, especially the teaching methodology.”
The continuous Quality Assurance first term 2023/2024 monitoring exercise drew the Universal Basic Education Board, Universal Basic Education Commission, and the Local Government Education Authority personnel.
Hajia Khadijat-Sulaiman enjoined them to conduct a thorough exercise in line with the directive by the Universal Basic Education Commission ( UBEC), Abuja.
Hajia Khadijat-Sulaiman commended the Universal Basic Education Commission ( UBEC) for improving the standard of primary school education in Nasarawa State.
She also praised the Nasarawa State Government and the Universal Basic Education Commission for their concerted efforts aimed at creating an environment conducive to teaching and learning in primary schools in the State.
She said; “It is important to note the commitment of the man at the helm of affairs at the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board in the person of Muhammad Dan’azimi ( Barayan Daddare), the Executive Chairman of the Board who directly facilitated this continuous Quality Assurance first term 2023/2024 monitoring exercise in the State.”
